Masahiro Miyazaki proudly takes his 6th title at the All Japan Kendo Championship.

The 44th Tournament, in which Masahiro Miyazaki won his fourth championship. The 45th Tournament, in which he was surpassed by his younger brother, Fumihiro, for the championship. And, the 46th Tournament, in which he dominates for the 5th time. In addition, the 47th Tournament, which was his 2nd consecutive win and 6th championship.

The past six victories of the champion, Masahiro Miyazaki.

With the slogan "Bring Down Miyazaki," in 2000, stands out as the year a young competitor showed up to secure his first championship, with Naoki Eiga defeating Masahiro Miyazaki.

Beginning with this in 2000, every year the championship has changed hands, spearheading the age of a competition of champions.

This film consists of the championships won by Eiga (48th Tournament), Iwasa (49th Tournament), Ando (50th Tournament), and Chikamoto (51st Tournament), re-edited from the original broadcasts. All four tiers (total: 28 matches) and the champion bouts are included for each championship.

In the ensuing free-for-all, Harada (of Tokyo), who had tasted defeat in the second tier and third tier of previous tournaments, so close to the end, achieved a sound victory. Defeating the representative of Tokyo, Uchimura, in the final, he achieved his greatest dream, to be champion, in his 9th competition.

This year’s All Japan Kendo Championship, the 55th in the series, was held on November 3 with 64 competitors including Uchimura of Tokyo aiming for his second consecutive victory, Furusawa of Kumamoto, Toyama of Aichi, Takanabe of Kanagawa, Tanaka of Kyoto and 30 newcomers.

The winner was Shoji Teramoto of Osaka, who was introduced as ‘the probable winner’ every time he participated. He won his first victory in the Championship tournament on his 6th appearance.

This film contains not only the televised matches but also unaired ones. We also offer a Championship leaflet containing the complete result of the matches and the referee names as a special gift.
